Develop your career
Progression policy
In Oldham we are ambitious about wanting to develop our Social Workers and support them to progress their career with us and commit to Oldham Council for the long-term. This includes progression opportunities for our Social Workers from ASYE to more experienced staff, recognising their professional development and expertise and retaining them within Oldham Council long term.
Our organisation structure has been designed to provide a seamless pathway for progression from a Newly Qualified Grade 6 Social Worker through to Grade 8. Through the successful submission of a portfolio of evidence to Panel and the support of the individual’s line manager.
