As Director of Education, Skills & Early Years, you’ll lead efforts to deliver our Education strategies and strengthen an integrated team.

You have the power to change lives and bring services together.

In this key, senior role, you’ll ensure that every generation of Oldham’s community gets the services they need.

It means working closely with partners, including schools and colleges, to meet the highest standards and the Council’s priorities.

From Early Years and inclusion to SEND provision, you’ll lead development strategies, bringing progress and transformation.

One of your most important tasks will be delivering the Education Alliance and leading the next stage of the school improvement journey.

Meanwhile, you’ll play a key role in our plans to provide integrated services to children and young people in Oldham.

With an ethos of collaboration, we will achieve our goals.

Degree-qualified (or equivalent), you may have worked with Schools, Academies or a local authority.

Whatever your background, you’ll have an impressive record of strategic leadership across Education, Employment and Skills that includes service improvement.

To bring change and achievements here, you’ll need not only excellent leadership skills, but a gift for forging relationships.

Influential and collaborative, you’ll inspire the trust and support of diverse partners, senior leaders and elected Members.
